The farmer brings herbs and straws to his animals. He walks slowly because his attention has been captured by the shooting star. He remains astonished and afraid. All of the nativity statues are handmade, in terracotta and cloth, with skill and attention.Angela Tripi, an artist of world renown, manages to create shepherds characterized by an extraordinary wealth of details, charisma and expressive strength.A very important peculiarity is that the statues have a completely formed bodies. Typically, the statues of the traditional nativity scene, for example the Neapolitan one, are built starting from a skeleton covered with fabrics to which the terracotta head, hands and feet are applied. However, the nativity scene statues of Tripi have whole terracotta structures, subsequently "dressed" in cloth. In her works, the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted at a specific moment in his life, telling us a story, before and after that moment.Details such as tense muscles, tendons, expression lines and hands (open and with well-defined fingers) often emerge clearly.Angela Tripi succeeds in giving each shepherd an amazing realism, never before seen and unrepeatable: her shepherds will never be equal to each other, precisely because they are unique.
