Pieta statue Vatican model golden base in resin 21 cm.
Statue depicting the scene of the Pieta as sculpted by Michelangelo in the 15th century. In the scene, Mary embraces the now lifeless body of Christ in her arms with an expression of dull pain. The robes are colorful and dramatically draped, and the base is gilded in a Baroque style. It is 21 cm tall and 19 cm long. The statue is made of resin, a material that, compared to PVC, requires greater delicacy in being handled but which in turn allows for a higher definition of lines and details.
