Saint Francis of Assisi statue in Valgardena wood, patinated finish.
Saint Francis is represented in the uniform of the Franciscan friars. He is the patron Saint of the poor because he lived in poverty and also of the merchants and tailors because of the work he did in his youth and of his family business.
Patinated finish of the statue: the finished sculpture is coated with a walnut colour patina.
This statue in maple wood is hand made by the Valgardena artisans, following the local artistic tradition.
