The complex and ancient process that involves a great skill on the part of the artist consists in creating a well-defined wax model, with a terracotta core, which will be placed in a mold containing ceramic and refractory clay. Everything is then cooked at high temperatures, so to the wax melts and obtains the negative shape of the statue in which to cast the molten bronze.The bronze religious statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze and gives it a new life.
