Hand-painted wooden matryoshka Madonna Yaroslavskaya 25 cm. This wooden matryoshka was made in Russia and hand painted by expert painters specializing in freehand painting from the miniature school.Made up of 7 dolls, the first depicts the Madonna of Yaroslavskaya, also known as the Madonna of Tenderness. The baby Jesus, in his mother's arms, gently places his hand on his face while the latter embraces him, transmitting the love between them. Later dolls depict Christ Pantocrator holding a closed book, Saint Nicholas with his fingers in a blessing position and the angel Michael. Each of them was painted with the gold leaf technique which allows many details to be highlighted, from the facial features to the halos, making each piece unique and original. It measures 23X10X11.2 cm. Made in Russia and hand painted by expert Russian painters.
