Modern Russian icon of the Three Wise Men hand painted 14x11 cm. Russian icon depicting the Three Wise Men adoring the Baby Jesus together with Mary. Measuring 14cm high, 11cm wide and 2cm deep, the Russian icon is made of solid lime wood and antiqued with a layer of gold leaf. Hand-painted, following the principles and techniques of the Byzantine-Russian school, the image shows the three Wise Men prostrate at the feet of Baby Jesus who welcomes the gifts of gold, incense and myrrh. Christ is sitting on Mary's lap and both have their arms open towards the Magi.The scene is rich in decorations and details. On the back, there is a ring that allows you to hang the product together with a guarantee certificate indicating the dating of the original (eighteenth century). The Wise Men icon is delivered in an elegant wooden box with a red velvet lining.
