Icon, Our Lady of the Don.
This is one of the most common and loved Russian icons; it's hand painted on gold leaf.
The embrace witnesses the affection that surrounds the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus.
The peculiarities of this icon are: the oval shape in the top part and the floral decoration in relief.
This icon is hand painted in Romania following ancient iconography traditions, using natural colours and gold leaf.
