Modern but antique Russian icon handmade with a decoupage technique that represents the Hodegetria of Smolensk. Icon in solid wood built according to the classic Russian technique that uses cross beams, to prevent the curvature of the wood over time. The Our Lady of Smolensk icon is hand painted using a mixed technique of painting and decoupage and the halos are painted with various shades of gold, tending towards pure gold. Made in Russia.
