Russian icon painted decoupage, Madonna of Kazan 29x21 cm.
Religious icon made of solid wood, it is produced using an ancient Russian techniques through transverse beams, to avoid the curvature of the wood over time. The orthodox icon of Our Lady of Kazan is hand-painted with a mixed technique of painting and decoupage and the halos are painted with pure gold colors.
