Russian Icon painted decoupage, Jesus Pantocrator. Measures 17x13 cm.
This elegant solid wood religious icon of Christ Pantocrator was designed and built according to ancient Russian techniques with transverse beams, which help prevent the curvature of the wood over time. The orthodox Pantocrator icon is hand colored through the mixed technique of painting and decoupage. The halos are painted with various shades of gold, similar to pure gold.
