This lovely Russian orthodox icon is made of solid wood using an ancient Russian technique with transverse beams, which prevent the curvature of the wood over time. This handcrafted Mother of God icon has been produced using paint and decoupage methods. The halos are painted with fine colors similar to pure gold.
