This beautiful solid wood Russian orthodox icon is created using an ancient Russian technique of transverse beams, which prevents the curvature of the wood over time. This handcrafted Mother of God the Worthy icon has been produced using paint and decoupage techniques. The halos are painted with fine colors tending to pure gold.
