Russian icon Kardiotissa, in painted decoupage 29x21 cm.
This beautiful solid wood Russian orthodox icon is created using an ancient Russian technique of transverse beams, which prevents the curvature of the wood over time. This handcrafted Madonna Kardiotissa icon has been produced using paint and decoupage techniques. The halos are painted with fine colors tending to pure gold.
