Our Lady of Kazan Russian icon 42x30 cm.Religious icon in solid wood, built following the ancient techniques characteristic of Russia which uses transversal beams, to prevent the curvature of the wood over time.The Lady of Kazan icon is created by hand according to the mixed process of painting and decoupage. The halos are painted with variants of pure gold.This icon of the Kazan Mother of God is, iconographically, a variant of the ''Odigitria'' type which depicts the child in an upright position. Made in Russia.
