Greek icon Madonna and Jesus hand painted relief 60x20 cm.
Sacred orthodox icon made with traditional techniques depicting the Madonna with her cheek resting on Jesus. The Madonna gently rests her cheek on Christ's face while the child stretches his arm towards her as a sign of affection while with the other arm holds a parchment in hand. Both have a blissful gaze, which conveys tranquility and love. The whole image is arranged on 3 different heights. On the lowest we see the background made of wood with golden writings, on the next part we find the golden halos with a design on that of Jesus to emphasize his divine side, and the last level we see Mary with her son in the arms. On the back there is a certificate that guarantees the quality and techniques used to make this religious icon and we can find a ring that gives the possibility to hang it on a wall. The height of this icon is 60 cm while the width is 18 cm. This religious icon is made in Greece.
