This orthodox icon measures 38x33.5 cm and is painted with egg tempera on a levkas wooden board prepared according to tradition.The Russian icon narrates several episodes related to the birth of Mary, framed in different rooms of the same temple, above which the divine cloud rises. Bottom right depicts Joachim and Anna in the moment of the Immaculate Conception, symbolized by a kiss. In the center, in the upper register, the scene of the offering of gifts is visible, where virgins offer cups and chalices as a gift to Saint Anne. Immediately below, you can see the scene of the baby's bath, a typical representation associated with birth.
