The urn for ashes is crafted from glazed ceramic colored with ceramic pigments, fired at 900°C, and completed with the hand-application of 10% gold or platinum lusters, followed by a final firing at 780°C. Italian artisanal manufacture includes a metal inner container with a high-temperature–resistant ash bag; the urn is prepared for wall mounting or for placement on a flat surface.
