The New Jerusalem Bible cover, especially with the 'surround' zipper, provides excellent protection for my aging and wear weary New Jerusalem Bible. Also the icon, created by Kiko, of the child Jesus and the Virgin Mary, is popular among many of my Catholic friends. The image is not distorted through the embroided process and has the required detail to be recognisable. I do wonder however, why the clearer images, printed on vinyl for the leather Bible covers (though without a zipper) are not used for the bonded leather covers with the zipper. However, the bonded leather New Jerusalem Bible cover makes a beautiful, yet practical, gift for Christmas or birthdays. Interestingly my female friends prefer the blue cover to any other colour hence I'll be buying more in the future.
