Presentation of Jesus at the temple bas relief in Pyrenean stone. Bas relief depicting St. Simeon who takes Jesus in his arms and brings Him to the temple together with Mary and Joseph. This delicate bas relief is completely hand-made by the artisan nuns of the Monastery of St. Bruno.

JOHN C.10/23/2023Thanks to the nuns in France for portraying this event in the life of Christ. I t is wonderfully portrayed with Joseph, Mary and the Baby Jesus in front of Simeon. The carving is excellent, and the colors used are just superb. I treasure it along with other bas reliefs I have purchased. John Cahill

Luca che narra quest'episodio, avvenuto quaranta giorni dopo la nascita di Gesù nel tempio di Gerusalemme e che consisteva nell'offerta a Dio del Bambino, insieme a due colombe (Lc 2, 20-24). In questo bassorilievo l'iconografia tipica è perfettamente rispettata ed anche delicatamente eseguita.
