The technique
The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate is distinguished by high-quality artistic works produced using the patented pictography technique devised by maestro Stefano Lazzari. This method allows reproductions to preserve the aesthetic qualities of an original painting. Years of dedicated research and study in painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that Renaissance masters applied to fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is employed: a pure lime free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is ''a fresco'' with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to merge perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, ensuring a durable and harmonious integration. The pigments are oxide-based, which keeps the color intensity unchanged over time.
The work
The piece shows St. Francis addressing the birds in a natural landscape, accompanied by a Franciscan brother. The trees, the luminous sky and the group of birds create a balanced composition that expresses the saint's deep bond with creation. The reproduction is supplied with a certificate of provenance and features a hook on the back for wall display.
