The technique
The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate is distinguished by high-quality artistic works produced using the patented pictography technique, conceived by master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows reproductions that retain all the aesthetic qualities of an original painting. Years of dedicated research in painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and formulas the Renaissance masters applied to fresco, panel and canvas. For frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is employed: a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is fresco pictography with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to fuse perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments are oxide-based, which ensures the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.

The work depicts the face of Saint Francis with a gathered, contemplative expression, framed by a golden halo that stands out against an intense blue background. The Franciscan habit, rendered in warm and natural tones, evokes the saint's simplicity and the essential character of medieval iconography. The artwork is supplied with a certificate of origin and is fitted with a hook on the back for wall display.
