The work:This work depicts the Madonna and Child, both with decorated halos. The Virgin Mary wears a red cloak and a gold-embroidered veil, while she tenderly holds the Baby Jesus, who is playing with an ornate cross. In his left hand, the Child holds a pomegranate, a symbol of resurrection and eternal life, often used in Christian art to represent the promise of eternal life through Christ's sacrifice. The use of vivid colors and gold details gives the image a solemn and precious quality. The painting comes with a certificate of origin.
