The central scene depicts Saint Joseph standing, with his head bowed as a sign of devotion: he holds a stick in his right hand and rests his left hand on his heart. Mary is kneeling, with her hands raised and her face bowed towards the Baby Jesus, who lies in the manger with his arms stretched out towards his parents. Further down, an embroidery in blue thread separates this scene from a second drawing, which depicts two lambs looking towards Jesus, adoring the newborn.
