The gold-plated brass finish is rich and even, lending the patens a dignified appearance well suited to liturgical service. The wooden handle is smooth and comfortable to hold, and the gold-plated cross at the junction of handle and disc is a thoughtful detail that adds both beauty and a clear devotional character to the piece. What impressed us most is the balance. Each paten feels steady and well-proportioned in the hand — an important quality when it is being used during the distribution of Holy Communion. There is nothing flimsy or lightweight about the construction; these are clearly made to last. All five arrived in identical, consistent condition, which matters when outfitting a parish where uniformity in sacred vessels is appreciated. We would not hesitate to order from Holy Art again and recommend these patens to any parish, chapel, or religious community looking for quality liturgical items at a fair price.
