Table Cross of Hope Jubilee from the Tifernate Workshop.
The 40 cm Table Cross of Hope is a crucifix designed by master Stefano Lazzari of Tifernate Workshop, featuring a double-sided design that embodies symbols and values associated with the theme of the 2025 Jubilee, with motto ''Pilgrims of Hope''.
Inspired by the layout of St. Peter’s Basilica and Square, the front depicts Christ not in suffering but as the one who serenely gave his life for humanity. At His feet lies Mount Golgotha, symbolizing the crucifixion, resting on a 12 cm diameter base.
On the back, a pilgrim is shown entering symbolically St. Peter's Square, marking the end of a journey of hope and salvation, symbolizing the path towards redemption.
For its creation, Tifernate Workshop selected sculptor Fausto Schirato for modeling and foundry expert Marino Vigolo for casting.
Schirato meticulously crafts every detail of the plaster model by hand. The chosen casting method is the lost-wax process, considered the most prestigious, with each piece being individually produced.
After creating wax prototypes from a rubber mold, they are immersed in plaster inside a cylinder and baked at high temperatures until the wax melts, then molten brass is poured into the cylinder to create the cross.
The resulting model is refined, engraved, individually painted and burnished to accentuate contrasts. A protective coating preserves the work over time to uphold its eternal significance.
Each table crucifix cross comes with a certificate of authenticity featuring a QR code linked to further information about the Cross and Tifernate Workshop.
Made in Italy by Tifernate Workshop, the cross can be used as a table crucifix.
