Come recita la confezione, in passato veniva usato con una funzione espettorante, è sicuramente sarà stato così. Buono anche per i bambini. L'unico neo è che dura meno, e dopo la delicata fragranza si sente un pò di odore di bruciato, sempre tenendo presente che con gli incensieri elettrici si evita il fumo del carbone, ma sono più aggressivi e l'incenso brucia più velocemente. I grani del "Myrra Etiope" sono molto grossi e poichè emanano promufo di per se, potrebbero essere usati per profumare i cassetti e per decorare.
