Moor Magi Nativity Figurine Dellarte Ceramics Hand-Painted 20 cm. This figurine depicts the King Moor bearing the gift of myrrh. Wrapped in a blue cloak decorated with inserts of 24-karat gold, he wears a finely finished white tunic, displaying an elegant demeanor fitting his royal role in the Nativity scene. Crafted entirely in Faenza ceramic through a meticulous artisanal process. Starting from slip casting in plaster molds to shape the figure, it is then finished and fired for the first time at 1000°C. The hand-painted decoration using non-toxic and vibrant glazes is set with a bath in crystalline, a glassy finish that adds depth and radiance. Subsequent firings at 920°C to set the 10% 24-karat gold leaf, ending with a final firing at 720°C to masterfully fix every detail. This creation bears the signature of Dellarte Ceramics, a family-run artisanal workshop located in the province of Rovigo. Founded by Paola Zaghi, a teacher of Art History and Painting Design, the company stems from the desire to blend art and tradition. For over twenty years, its mission has been to create unique pieces that tell timeless stories and bring beauty into homes through artistic ceramics.
