Just like every creation created by Dellarte Ceramics, this figurine comes to life following the ancient technique of Faenza ceramics. The process begins with slip casting, liquid clay poured into plaster molds to achieve the desired shape. After meticulous finishing, the piece undergoes an initial firing at 1000°C, followed by hand decoration with non-toxic glazes. It is then immersed in a bath of transparent crystalline, enhancing the colors and providing a shiny finish, and fired again at 920°C. Finally, 10% pure gold leaf details are applied, followed by a third firing at 720°C. Paola Zaghi, the founder of the studio, brings her cultural and artistic background to the project, developed through years of teaching Art History and Painting Design. The family-run company has been creating ceramic artworks for over twenty years, blending tradition, expressiveness, and craftsmanship.
