The nativity scene figurine represents a man sleeping on a hammock attached to two fruit trees, with a wooden base decorated with bark and real moss.
The man is made of terracotta and dressed with pieces of cloth, lying on fabric that acts as a hammock, next to him there is a wooden crate with salami and bread inside, near his head, behind the tree there is a wooden box that contains the motor. The movement consists of a swing action of the hammock on which the man sleeps on, it automatically starts after inserting the plug into a socket. It comes with a European plug 220v. The nativity man figurine is produced by Neapolitan artisans it may vary slightly from the image due to the high craftsmanship.
Statue 27 cm high including branches, 30 cm long suitable for a 12 cm nativity set.

Adriana L.9/17/2025Ok, I have to say that he's the only man I tolerate sleeping all day!!! He's wonderful! Pay close attention to my review because I believe it can make a great deal of difference when deciding to buy this or not. The piece in and of itself is just great! It moves like a regular hammock and the trees with limes and oranges are soooo cool! You can almost feel you're right there with him! This piece will look well in displays with figures sized 5,6,7,8,10,& 12 inches. If the man DOES NOT HAVE A BEARD (like what I received) he will look like a boy or an old "shorted" man for the 8, 10 & 12 inch displays. The important thing here is strategic placement. If he is placed in a park, next to a river, etc. and relatively "away" from a crowd, he will most definitely stand out. The image in the item page was very similar but what I received was the same setting with a "bald old man" instead of a bearded one. It was still great and did not retract from the original purchase and considering this is a one-of-a-kind, artisan made product I was happy with what I received. It actually worked better because I have fewer old men in my inventory. With this said, I also believe it's important that Holyart considers "sharing"; to the very least these differences from any item when they actually exist. This was not noted; however; prior to placing and receiving my order I did voice my concerns with Holyart . What would happen if any or all figures would not work with my display mainly due to sizing issues? A few days later; I received an email from them stating that returns from US were free and not to worry, that if I wanted to return something; no questions asked; they would issue a full refund and they would absorb the s&h back to Italy. This gave me a great peace of mind. I think I ordered 17 pieces and ended up returning only one, that's why you see so many detailed reviews from me. I hope they can help someone else in making the best possible informed decision for their displays.
