This nativity scene character is made in Naples, the capital of the Italian nativity scene tradition. It represents a high quality product of Italian craftsmanship. Each character is made with terracotta and subsequently dressed with fabric, treated and shaped. The limited availability of fabrics and the craftsmanship of each piece make each statue different from one another.

Thomas W.10/18/2025Eine sehr schöne Krippenfigur, der hinkende Mann, als Bettler dargestellt. Das war schon in der Antike das Los einiger Menschen, die durch einen Unfall oder eine Kriegsverletzung eine Amputation über sich ergehen lassen mussten und diese tatsächlich überlebt haben. TW
