The shepherd, after a long day in the pastures falls asleep before the fire. A sudden light awakens him and between wonder and fear he sees an Angel who brings him a message of joy: the Savior was born. All the nativity figurines are handmade, in terracotta and cloth, with skill and care by the Sicilian artist Angela Tripi.Normally the statues of the traditional nativity scene, for example the Neapolitan one, are made with a skeleton made with fabrics and with the ends in terracotta (the head, hands and feet).
In her works, the artist tells a story: each statue is depicted in a specific moment in life.
Characteristic details often emerge as tense muscles of a slave or the expression lines of an elderly person.
