The lamplighter is shown on a ladder leaning against the lamp, holding a long igniter. He wears a top hat, a long coat, a scarf and a shoulder satchel. The figure stands on a white base evoking snow-covered ground and recreates a scene inspired by the lighting of village street lamps during the Christmas season.
