The Last Supper

The Last Supper of Jesis: the twelve apostles sit around the table with Jesus. Judah is dunking the bread, a common gesture that symbolised friendship. This icon is entirely hand-painted by the Yaroslav atelier, following the traditional rules of the Orthodox iconic school. The slight imperfections that are visible on the icon represent an added value as they bear witness to the completely artisanal process.
