Modern Russian icon Entry into Jerusalem 31x27 cm. The Russian orthodox icon depicts Christ's entry into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey. Behind Jesus are the disciples who accompany him towards his Passion, while in front of him are the crowds of Jerusalem who acclaim him. Hand painted with the egg tempera technique, the icon is delivered in an elegant blue box with a satin interior.
