This religious icon is hand made according to the strict rules of Byzantine iconography by expert Romanian artists using tempera and gold leaf.The image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is closely linked to His dual human and divine nature and celebrates in particular the human part of the Savior, who became a man out of love. Love towards men is the other great theme addressed in this image which in fact depicts the Sacred Heart as surrounded by the crown of thorns, symbol of His sacrifice, and flaming like the ardor of His affection towards men, upright or sinners. As a further reference to the Crucifixion, Jesus is depicted here with the stigmata on his hands.The image is surrounded by a wooden frame in cold tones, carved to form squares with floral motifs and with engraved figures of angels and saints. It measures a total of 38x32 cm.This Jesus icon is delivered in an elegant box in blue velvet and satin lining, and comes with certificate and documents.
