Antique Russian orthodox icon depicting the Mother of God of Vladimir with silver riza 84 on wood. This is a replica of the famous icon mentioned in the chronicles of the year 1155, where it was brought from Constantinople to Kiev in the Vychgorod monastery. In 1155, Prince St. Andrew brought the icon to his principality, decorated it with a gold frame, and placed it in the Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir on the Kliasma River. The icon symbolizes the tender relationship between the Mother and the Son, with the Child Jesus resting his cheek on that of the Virgin. Delivered with a blue velvet case and appraisal by an expert.
