The deposition of Christ from the cross takes place in the thirteenth station and two men are seen moving the body and examining it from the cross. The savior gave his life to defeat death and save everyone's souls. This station is an episode that occurred during the journey that Christ made, carrying the cross on his shoulders, up to where he was crucified. That street is called Via Crucis and today it starts from the Church of the Flagellation and ends at the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. It is important to remember the Via Dolorosa because it recalls the sacrifice that the savior made to save the souls of all, those who loved him and even those who despised him.
