Vladimir Mother of God icon handpainted in the monastery of Montesole in Italy
Icon with image of Vladimir Mother of God of Solovki, inspired by the original icon of Moscow of XVI. This article is made of seasoned lime wood, carved, backed and plastered. Gilding in 23 karat gold. The colours used are earths and semi precious stones like lapis lazuli, azurite and malachite. This article is totally handmade in the monastery of Montesole. The icon is made according to the traditional techniques of the Russian byzantine painting.
