The memorial bronze cross is the result of a thousand-year-old manufacturing technique, i.e. lost wax casting which consists in shaping the sculpture with wax in detail on a terracotta core and then covering it with refractory ceramic material. The subsequent firing in the kiln has the purpose of melting the wax which will then be replaced by molten bronze. In the finishing phase, they proceed with the scraping and polishing of the item. Through this technique, with the loss of the wax model during production, only unique and unrepeatable pieces are created. A further element that determines the uniqueness of this funeral cross is the material with which it is made, as bronze, a living material, tends to darken over time, giving it non-replicable nuances and details.This 75 cm high floor cross, thanks to the painting aimed at preserving its quality, can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors.
