Plaster Nativity Scene

Plaster Nativity Scene hand-made by Arte Barsanti.

Arte Barsanti was founded by Carmelo Barsanti in 1900 who started in Tuscany the production of alabastrine plaster statues.
The founder Carmelo was fond of Provencal Nativity Scenes and combined this passion with Tuscan crib tradition.
The same workshop is still active and is currently run by the fourth generation of Barsanti family.
Production is handicraft in all phases, from the plaster casting to the brush-made decorations.
