The latter as punishment ordered that his hand be cut off in the town square as a warning to everyone.John asked the caliph to give him the cut hand and, once closed in his room, he put his hand in its place and prayed a lot in front of an image of the Mother of God. So, while he was praying, the Madonna appeared to him and healed him.Another event concerns the invasion of the Turks in Serbia, during which the Christian faithful tried to save the holy image and placed it on a donkey, which wandered until it reached Mount Athos, where it stopped in front of a monastery. Later the monks of this monastery, after receiving a divine sign, decided that the icon should have occupied the post of parish priest and since then, according to tradition, the monks receive the blessing directly from the icon.This beautiful icon of the Three Hands dates back to the early 1800s and was made in Moscow with egg tempera and measures 35x30.5 cm.This Three Hands icon is delivered in an elegant blue velvet box, with a certificate produced by Russian experts.
