Three festivals are dedicated to her, in May, June and August.Vladimir's icon of the Mother of God belongs to the iconographic type of the Eleusa, or Our Lady of Tenderness. The Child Jesus leans with his face on the cheek of the Virgin, who tenderly embraces him. Their union and love between them are conveyed by their body language and the conjunction of their halos. Here the Virgin does not represent only the Mother, but the whole Church, in whose embrace it is possible to feel the fullness of love.This ancient Our Lady of Vladimir icon is painted on a wooden board.
