Standing Drifter for a 13 cm Nativity of Angela Tripi. The traveling man is on his way to Bethlehem. You can see on his face the tiredness he has endured during his travels. Each statuette of Angela Tripi's nativity is characterized by an extraordinary richness of details, charisma and expressive power. While normal terracotta statues of traditional nativity scenes, are constructed with skeleton covered with clothes to which the extremities of the hands (arms, feet and head) are applied, the statues of Angela Tripi have complete formed bodies, they are modeled nude and subsequently dressed. The dress gives the statues an amazing realism. Often details such as: tense muscles, tendons, expression lines, open and defined fingers are clearly visible. Above all, while a statuette of the traditional nativity scene recalls a trade or a character and remains still, admiring these works we realize that there is always a before and after, that is, we are faced with the story, a man or woman, "photographed" at a particular moment in their life.
