Virgin of Kazan. An icon inspired by the Virgin of Kazan; hand painted in Romania on a thick wooden table. The Virgin appeared in Kazan to a young girl and showed her the way to find the icon. After many miracoulous events, the icon arrived in the Cathedral of the Annunciation. The precious decoration of the Mary's and Jesus's mantle show immense love and devotion. Pope John Paul II gave the original icon back to Alessio II of Moscow in 2004.
