The interpretation of the Fathers and Liturgical books see this episode as archetype of the Incarnation of the Son of our Lord and the burning thorn bush as one of the main true testamentary symbol of our Lady Mother. Centered a representation of the bust of Mary with child.
On the upper corner from the left the composition of the burning thorn bush, where Moses contemplates the prophecy fulfillment, in the semblance of the Mother of God of the Sign. To the right the tree of Jesse. At the bottom left the Ezekiel vision, to the bottom right Jacobs dream.
The green and red diamonds give shape to the "glorious almond" of our Lady, which generates the divine Logos, thus, as the thorn bush was in flame jet not burning, Mary was a Virgin mother. On the corners of the red diamond shape four creatures from the Apocalypse can be discerned. On the backdrop of the green diamond shape and of the rose incorporeal multitudes are represented, angles, seraphs and cherubs, here seen as 'lords of the natural elements' . The icon is celebrated each September 4.
Each icon comes with a picture and appraisal of experts from the Ministry of Russian Culture with export documents. To take a look at them click here.
